Death Note

If I have not read the manga, I would have been wowed over by the shrewd strategies/plans that Light did.

Too bad I already painstakenly read the manga which is full of conversations and chinese characters.

2 and a half hrs sitting with half a numbed ass. =.="

I've already expected a part 2 to the movie. Or even part 3. Its a freaking 12 book manga! They only began introducing Misa Misa in the movie. Light will use Misa to kill L, afterwhich there will be 2 replacement "Ls", who will get in the way of each other's investigations, b4 finally cooperating to nap Light.

There are 2 Deathnote books. The movie took the pains to change the "language" of the word Deathnote written on the 2nd book jus for differentiation, dat is if ppl noticed lah. 2 Deathnotes = 2 shinigamis. The other one was not introduced yet.

Casting is not bad lahh. Although i'll prefer to put Kinki Kids in, Koichii as Light and Tsuyoshi as L. Light looks a bit too cute but L was rather impressive, even thou its quite easy to imitate L's crankiness.

So, if u have not read the manga, prepare for some intensive thinking. If u have read the manga, go n comment on the resemblance of the movie cast and manga characters. If u're a Nana fan, go look for Shin! If u eat flowers, go drool at the 2 cute guys then.
